Space is limited, and will be filled first-come, first-served. Young clergy women (whether or not they are members of the group), future young clergy women, and any other female preachers under 40 are welcome to attend. These conferences are intentionally fairly small (we max out at about 30). You will not be viewing the instructor on a jumbo-tron! We live, eat, worship, and learn together. Please take the word "lecture" in the following as a very loose interpretation of what will happen.
Who We Are
- The Young Clergy Women Project is an initiative---a collection of new programs that are by, for and about the youngest ordained women, defined as those under forty. We started out in November 2006 as just an idea, really, about getting young ordained women together to talk online. In the spring of 2007, we received a grant from The Louisville Institute that supported our preaching conference, board meeting, and our web page. Energy begets energy and these initial funded programs have created more ideas and programs.
