Fidelia's Sisters: An online publication by, for, and about young clergy women, published by The Young Clergy Women Project.

In early June 2009, the full board convened for its annual board meeting to plan, discuss, and dream. Though our community exists primarily online, members have told us again and again how important opportunities to meet face-to-face are. We're happy to announce that plans are being made for a June 2010 conference (details coming soon)! The community board also wisely chose to streamline and consolidate, allowing projects such as the underground blog and community chats to become self-initiated.

The editorial board celebrated expanding our writer base, though we recognize we continue to draw from a subset of the young clergy women population. We welcome and solicit contributions; we're interested in the many different ways young clergy women are living out their lives and want to hear from you! The column editors also brainstormed ideas for pieces in the upcoming year and discussed ways to use Fidelia's Sisters to strengthen the community, such as hosting and promoting online chats with authors and providing links on Fidelia's articles to the ning community.

If this sounds exciting to you, you're in luck...Fidelia's Sisters is seeking a new column editor!  Column editors solicit and publish pieces for monthly publication and participate in monthly online editorial chats. Our newest column editor will also serve on a financial committee along with community board members.  As a board member, column editors also commit to meeting in person once a year, if at all possible.  What do you get in return? You get to help shape the one and only publication that is by, for, and about young clergy women and work with a bunch of neat young clergy women who are interested in doing the same! We seek a new board member because in May assistant editor Kate Smanik Moyes resigned. Kate had been a board member since August 2007. She's filled in during family leaves, written pieces about the restorative nature of General Assembly and the struggles of having an embodied faith, and been a presence in the ning community. We wish her well in her new job as the program assistant at Montclair State University's Women's Center. Thank you, Kate.

In August, Sarah Kinney Gaventa, the current Moms in Ministry column editor, will be stepping up into the newly formatted role of assistant editor. Sarah's been an active board member these past two years. She has the skills to help us evolve as TYCWP continues to grow and change.
